Bear Video was built to solve a problem most agencies don't fully understand.

Regulated industries have a video problem. The compliance requirements are real — but most agencies treat them as a barrier to creating good content, rather than embracing them. The result is content that's legally safe but commercially useless: stiff contributors, scripted answers, production that's been approved to within an inch of its life and looks exactly like it has been.

Bear Video was founded on a different premise: that making video compliant and effective doesn't have to be a struggle.

We work exclusively with regulated firms — in sectors like financial services, healthcare, veterinary, and technology. Our entire method is built around the specific tension of operating in sectors where what you say, how you say it, and who says it are all subject to scrutiny.


In the founder's own words

My background is in TV production — post-production first, then production, and eventually Head of Production at an independent company making factual programming for ITV, Channel 4 and Discovery. Factual television is a specific discipline: you're working with real people, not actors. The whole job is creating the conditions where contributors feel genuinely like themselves on camera. You can't script your way to it.

When I looked at regulated video, the problem was immediately familiar. The compliance requirements were being used as a reason to produce something safe rather than something effective. Television had long since solved this — authenticity and accuracy aren't mutually exclusive, you just have to build a method that holds both. Bear Video was built on that approach, applied to the specific demands of regulated industries.

The result is a process-driven business that gets consistent results for clients who've been used to video delivering a weak ROI — because the method was designed for their environment from the start, not adapted for it afterwards. How to make contributors feel at ease, how to design questions that unlock real answers, how to find the moments that actually cut through: all of it borrowed directly from what factual television figured out long before marketing did.
